Evansville’s Only Roller Derby Team

The fastest growing competitive sport in the world exploded onto Evansville’s athletic scene in 2007 with Demolition City Roller Derby (DCRD): the first all-female flat track roller derby league to strap on skates in the Tri-State!

Our commitment to fiercely competitive athletic excellence and community wellness is evident as our skaters work tirelessly on and off the track. We’re an extraordinary group of women dedicated to bringing you the best in fast-paced, hard-hitting flat track roller derby action. We are moms, students, wives, successful business and health professionals, community volunteers and friends.team2017

DCRD has grown to over 20 active skaters, with the All-Star Dynamite Dolls competing nationally among some of the best to move up the rankings chart, while our Destruction Dames continue to make a strong name for themselves across the derby community. Both are backed by our non-rolling support crew of 50+ volunteers that is second to none.

We don’t just skate – we dominate!

In September of 2009 DCRD was accepted as one of the first 10 leagues in the country to participate in the Apprentice Program through the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

On June 18, 2010, in just its third year of existence, Evansville’s Demolition City Roller Derby league was awarded the sport’s highest honor, full membership into the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

‘WFTDA is delighted to welcome our new members, all of whom represent the highest standard in athletics and league management,’ said WFTDA Executive Director Juliana Gonzales. ‘We know they’ll infuse our organization with lots of fresh ideas and great skaters.’

WFTDA is an international organization governing the sport of women’s flat track derby and provides member leagues with standardized rules, hosts regional and national tournaments and sets safety standards for the sport. 1. Hello,

AKRD from Akron ohio need your help. We had a team recently cancel our June game with us.

We are in search of a team that would be able to come play our Charter team on June 17th at the Summit County Fairgrounds, located in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio.

    Hope to hear from you

  2. My name is Ed Cahill and I am the sports editor for The Press-Dispatch, a newspaper that is published weekly in Petersburg, Indiana. I am interested in doing a feature story on one of your skaters – Kirby Williams – who is from Pike County. I would like to attend Saturday’s bout and am requesting a media credential in my name. Also, who could I talk to with DCRD to get some quotes regarding Kirby? Thank you for your assistance. I can be reached via email at sports@pressdispatch.net, or by phone at (812) 354-8500.
